Hello and Welcome!

I’m glad you could join me for a cup or two of robust coffee and, hopefully, robust conversation too.

It’s funny. I’ve been planning to write an on online journal for quite some time. Just a place to share my thoughts on a variety of topics. And now that I am finally doing it, I really don’t know what to say.

Well, that might not be totally accurate. In fact, the opposite might be true. I’ve got so much to say, so much to share that I almost don’t know where to begin.

And then I realized two things:

First, some of the best moments of my life have involved a great conversation over a cup of coffee. I can still recall…

  • The early morning fishing trips with my father on Lake Erie, the coffee and conversation flowing freely; and
  • The cups of robust Colombian coffee with conversation at breakfast with a beautiful lady friend in Colombia; or
  • Enjoying that first cup of morning coffee with family or friends to welcome the promise of a new day.

And every one of those conversations had one thing in common: they all went way beyond “what’s up”.

Secondly, I noticed that throughout my life I’ve often been sought out to give advice. From family members to colleagues at the office to friends and their offspring, many have asked me to share my wisdom and the lessons learned though my good days and bad days, through my trials and triumphs.

And its meaningful conversations and sage advice that I hope to share here…

With you….

So, come back and visit often to see (and be entertained) by what’s on the restless mind of this simple man!
